There’s a whole host of must-see attractions and other activities you may want to try in destinations such as Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Hanoi, Langkawi and Penang. You can learn more about these in the dedicated section further down this page.

Fall in love with the Far East
With so many delights featured in our Far East Cruise Holidays, choosing which deal to book will be the most challenging part. We’ve provided a brief insight into each of the main destinations below but are on hand seven days until late if you need any more information.
What better way to prepare for a luxurious cruise than seven nights in Bali? At the start of any holiday, you may feel like you need a day or two to unwind before you can start to enjoy it. However, in this case, you get a whole week doing as much or as little as you please in and around Bali. For example, you may want to go hiking or on a jungle tour, visit the local market, go wild in the water parks or just catch up on some reading while you lounge on one of the many unbelievable beaches.
We have a trio of vibrant Vietnamese destinations included in our cruise and stay deals. Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang and Hanoi. Ho Chi Minh City was formerly known as Saigon and is home to a fantastic street food market, Mekong River tours, theatres, museums and an impressive opera house. It’s an excellent base for any Far East holiday, and from here, you can access so much of what makes Vietnam such a beautiful and inspiring destination.
Nha Trang serves up some of the best seafood you’ll ever taste. It also boasts a spectacular beach it will be hard to tear yourself away from. You can also tee up a round of golf or go diving into the warm waters to see what lies beneath.
As the capital city of Vietnam, Hanoi has a whole to offer holidaymakers of all ages. For a truly authentic experience, a walk around the Old Quarter and its 2,000-year history is hard to beat. If you want to see the city from above, then the Lotte Observation Deck is the place to go for a panoramic vantage point. There are temples, boat and walking tours and historic artefacts in museums, amongst the other things to see and do during your time in Hanoi.
Hong Kong is a place of contrasts. If you’re on a family holiday, then a visit to Hong Kong Disneyland is a must. However, if you’re more interested in history and spirituality, then you have to travel to see the bronze Big Buddha (Tian Tan Buddha) - which stands over 34 metres tall. If sporting pursuits are more up your street, then you’ll love the atmosphere at the Happy Valley Racecourse surrounded by an incredible array of skyscrapers.
In Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and Penang are popular ports of call on our Far East Cruise Holidays. In Kuala Lumpur, the Petronas Twin Towers are a mighty man-made attraction if you’ve got a good head for heights. Aquaria is a fascinating attraction that’s a big hit with families. Here you can explore so many creatures from the deep and learn about all kinds of underwater life with having fun in the process. Langkawi is renowned for its beaches and abundance of wildlife, and Penang has colourful street art, the Escape Theme Park and Penang National Park to keep you busy and entertained during your stay.
In Phuket, Thailand, you can get the best of city life and a beach holiday. The sands at Bang Tao and Freedom Beaches feel like a million miles away from the buzz of the city. There are also plenty of opportunities to do a bit of island-hopping and explore new horizons.
Singapore has its own zoo, plenty of high-end shopping on Orchard Road, gorgeous gardens and a Chinatown district which are all worth exploring. If you’re partial to a cocktail or two, then savouring a Singapore Sling where it was invented is a nice thing for your ‘to-do’ list.
Some of our Far East Cruise Deals start in Singapore before sailing further afield around Australia and New Zealand. Here you’ll discover some of the world’s most striking natural scenery and spend time in cities such as Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Wellington, Dunedin and Auckland.
If you need any help choosing the right Far East Cruise Holiday for you, we’re on hand to answer all of your questions so you can book with complete peace of mind.

Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas has a wealth of activities for you to enjoy while you sail the ocean waves. There are lots of options for kids, teenagers and adults alike, including thrilling water slides, laser tag and a spa/fitness centre. So if it’s an epic voyage you’re looking for, this cruise ship more than fits the bill.
The Wonder of the Seas is also part of the Royal Caribbean fleet. It was built in 2018 and is the world’s largest cruise ship at the time of writing. You’re assured of plenty of space in which to fully enjoy the cuisine, activities, bars, lounges and more onboard. There are ice skating shows, water slides, karaoke, live cover bands, panoramic views from out on deck and balconies, plus so much more.
Princess Cruises sail to a variety of destinations, including the Far East. As part of our deals, you may be staying in the Grand Princess, Diamond Princess or Sapphire Princess ships. The Grand Princess has 17 decks and can accommodate 2,600 guests. It also has family suites and plenty for kids and adults of all ages, whether you want to try new things or pamper yourself and feel rejuvenated. The Diamond Princess is an elegant way to cruise around Asia and stands over 200 feet tall. It has hot tubs, sporting activities, a plethora of formal and informal dining, and more spread over the 18 decks. The Sapphire Princess is the sister ship of the Diamond Princess and has many of the same great amenities and activities to make your cruise a memorable one. The live entertainment onboard all three vessels is full of variety, energy and charm, so your evenings will be immensely enjoyable.
The Celebrity Constellation will take you around India, Sri Lanka, and Thailand as part of your Far East Cruise Break. It’s won many awards for its spa facilities and onboard dining over the years and can cater for just over 2,000 guests, including those with mobility issues. From the moment you first board, you’ll be treated like a VIP, so you can just focus on having the best holiday ever.
Brought to you by Carnival Cruise Lines, the Carnival Spirit is great for burning off energy during the day with mini-golf, its own jogging track, fitness centre, swimming pools and water slides. Then, when you’ve finished working up an appetite, the team of chefs can whip up a host of mouthwatering dishes for you, ranging from pizzas and pub food to sizzling steaks and fresh sushi.
The Norwegian Jade was refurbished in 2017 and has 16 dining options onboard as well as room service. There's something to suit all tastes and budgets with a choice of suites, balcony rooms, oceanview, and inside accommodation. It may be a Norwegian Cruise Line ship, but the Jade likes to venture further afield and could be part of your seafaring adventure in the Far East.
